main sanctuary.
Statement
Our modern day sanded and varnished crosses which line our cathedrals and places of worship stand in stark contrast to the horror of the pillar on which our savior died. It is the tool from a cruel and malicious practice which stands as the symbol of our salvation, a true testament of hope within hopelessness. This cross is but an illustration meant to reexamine the story of our savior’s ability to take the discarded, ugly, and unwanted things of this world and make them beautiful.
